Changes to local business services

 

Danske Bank will focus exclusively on supporting subsidiaries of Nordic customers and global corporates. The changes concern the strategic decision to bring the bank’s local business activity into line with the Group’s strategy and these changes relate to our customer relationships with local business customers and private persons.

Based on the selected strategy, we are not able to continue provision of current services to you. We will not be entering into new service agreements and are planning to gradually stop offering everyday banking products in the course of 2018.


If you wish to terminate an existing service agreement with Danske Bank, you can apply to close your current account:

You cannot close a current account if you have a valid loan or lease contract. In order to apply for premature termination of a credit agreement, we kindly ask you to contact your Relationship Manager or e-mail your wish to info@danskebank.ee.

Transfer and termination of services

  • Terminating daily banking services
    Daily banking services in Danske Bank can be terminated either by service or when closing the current account. If you wish to transfer your payments and terminate service agreements gradually, the most convenient way to do so is by submitting an application (in free format) in the Danske eBank.

    So you can send us applications for terminating debit cards and payment package agreements.

    Before closing the account you can print out or download account statements from the Danske eBank.
  • Terminating card acceptance services
    If you wish to terminate a card acceptance agreement and/or e-commerce agreement yourself, please send an application via the Danske eBank or digitally signed to ariklient@danskebank.ee.

    Please return rented payment terminals to Nets Estonia AS.

    Payment terminals can be returned:
    • by Jetpak courier at the cost of the recipient. To order a courier please call +372 646 3222;
    • by taking it to Nets Estonia AS at Tartu mnt 63, Tallinn (the so-called white house, the door marked with B on the Hermann Street side, 4th floor, open on working days from 9–17).

    The bank shall charge a rental fee until the terminal is returned to Nets Estonia AS. When the terminal has been returned to Nets Estonia As, the bank shall terminate the terminal rental agreement.

    Please terminate the card acceptance agreement approximately 15 days before closing the account. Then all payments can be made and you can take all necessary account statements from the Danske eBank and transfer the account balance.
  • Termination of Danske Bank link agreement
    If you wish to terminate a Danske Bank link agreement, please send an application via the Danske eBank or digitally signed to ariklient@danskebank.ee.

    Make sure you remove the bank link from your webpage.

  • Termination of e-invoice forwarding agreement
    In order to terminate the agreement, please contact your customer relationship manager or write to ariklient@danskebank.ee.
  • Corporate loans, trade finance, leasing and collateral
    Danske Bank does not issue new loans, leases or trade finance products to local companies.

    Credit agreements already entered into remain valid under the agreed conditions.

    If a collateral has been established in favour of Danske Bank (mortgage, commercial pledge, securities pledge, etc.) which does no longer guarantee any contracts, and you wish to delete or transfer this collateral, please contact your customer relationship manager or write to ariklient@danskebank.ee.

    Exception to applying the special condition of credit contract

    In the case of loan agreements, the standard terms and conditions of which include the obligation of a borrower to conduct their transactions via a current account in Danske Bank, the Bank does not consider the failure to perform this obligation a breach of the agreement. This means that the current account related with the agreement must have sufficient available funds on the repayment date for performing the contractual obligations and the borrower can make all other settlements at any credit institution.
